Replacing a bolt catch is easier than you might think, it really only takes a few simple steps.

Step 1: The first thing you need to do is get your AR15 bolt catch out of the rifle. Using a small tap, tap the rolling pin out of place (make sure the bolt catch isn’t actively in use while doing this). Use a little painters tape to avoid scratching the gun if necessary.

Step 2: Now that we’ve taken our AR15 Bolt Catch out, let’s go ahead and install a new one! To do this, insert a new AR-style Bolt Catch into its housing in front of the trigger assembly. Now, you’ll want to line up the AR15 Bolt Catch with its hole and push it back into place

After that, you’re done! It’s really that simple.
